Windy day of racing

So Saturday seemed calm and nice enough however on the race course at the Occoquan was a different story. The races were delayed for 1 and a half hours after the 6th event. When the races resumed a decision had been made to only row the Championship Events on the course and simultaneously row the lower or novice boats on an unmarked 1200 meter course. This allowed everyone to race but made for a very challenging and long day. Most of our boats did very well for the 1st race of the season. We have reached the half way point of the season and everyone is working hard to gain speed for the racing yet to come. Results from this weekend can be found here.
